Yesterday was Max's first day back to school after having hand, foot, mouth for over a week. It was so nice to have a few hours to myself and get some things done. Well, it didn't last long...he woke up this morning with a bad cough and yucky nose and eyes. We've played with his trains, did coloring/finger painting and watched a movie - any other suggestions on how to keep a 4 year old entertained???
I'm addicted to this blog. Some of you may have already seen it, but wow, this guy has such a positive spirit about him. Check it out when you get a few minutes. His wife is in the hospital waiting for a double lung transplant. Oh, and she also just happened to give birth to their daughter who was born over 3 1/2 months premature. Makes Max's early arrival seem like no big deal! :)

Their story is amazing. My cousin's wife had a double lung transplant two and a half years ago. She also had CF. It's amazing that this lady had a baby. People with CF suffer so much. Their bodies are so worn from years of health problems. It truly is encouraging to read their story. Thank you for sharing with everyone.
As for entertaining a 4 year old? How about rolling out some Pillsbury Cookie Dough (already made) and tracing Max's hand on the dough. Cut it out and bake. Then he can shake sprinkles on it or put icing on it. Then go to Don's work and deliver them with a balloon and a home-made card. He'll LOVE IT!!! And all of his co-workers will admire him and his family! (We did this once when the boys were 3 and 4. Dave will NEVER forget it.)
