Pictures - Tuesday, June 16

I've finally uploaded my pictures, but there are so many that I thought I would just start with the day the twins were born, June 16. Hopefully, I'll be able to get more recent ones up in the next day or so.

Lane and Abe are doing well and are somewhat falling into a routine. They eat every 3 to 3 1/2 hours and once we finally get them down they sleep really well. I'm also getting a little more sleep the past few days which is nice although I think it's going to take my body a long time to catch up on 9 months of very little sleep! I'll update more in another post, but wanted to go ahead and get some pictures out here so I don't get too far behind. Hope everyone is doing well!

I don't even want to know what those doctors are doing to me behind the sheet. My parents and Andrea the first time they saw the babies. They actually brought the babies back with me to the recovery room instead of the baby nursery. Apparently, this is something new. Lane is on the left and Abe on the right. Home

Hi everyone!

We brought Lane and Abe home on Saturday afternoon and everyone seems to be doing well. Life with two newborns is, let's just say, very physically and mentally exhausting but we love our babies and we will survive. :) Lane and Abe love to eat, sleep, poop, and then eat again. The feeding thing is going so-so. I've had a few issues, but we're trying to work through those. Don, my mom, and my sister have been HUGE helps and I couldn't have made it through these first few days without them. And the lady who's been helping us at night since Saturday night has also been very helpful.

I haven't had time to download any pictures, but I will try to do that soon. The babies are asleep right now so I've got to get off the computer and lay down for a few minutes...this mama is tired right now! :)

37 weeks...almost 37 1/2!

We're still cooking! I had my last doctor's appointment this morning which was just one more thing to cross off my list before these babies are born. My c-section is still planned for this coming Tuesday, June 16, at 2:00 PM. I will admit I've been feeling some different things over the past two days so there's still a chance they could come anytime. But at this point I'd prefer to wait until Tuesday so I can get up, take a shower, shave my legs, put some makeup on, and head to the hospital with as little stress as possible. I'm taking my computer with me so either myself or someone else will update our blog as soon as possible. Not counting today only 4 more days...HALLELUJAH!!!

I took these pictures on Monday - the 1st day of my 37th week.

Oh, several people have asked about names. We think we have the girl's name finalized but the boy's name is still up in the air. We'll let you know what we've decided on Tuesday!

Max + Mud = HEAVEN!

This is what Max has been doing 3 to 4 afternoons a week for the past month...plays in his own personal mud pit! Unfortunately, our landscaping leaves much to be desired so we've allowed him to make one of our flower beds into his dirt and mud playing area. It's his favorite thing to do right now and he will play as long as we'll let him - I sit in my chair watching him so it works well for my situation too! Last week I sat outside with him for two solid hours and he completely entertained himself the entire time. When he's done I spray him down with the hose which is another 10 minutes of pure bliss for him...he screams, runs through the water and thinks it's the best thing ever. But, what boy doesn't love playing in the mud and water!

He gets the hose and "makes mud"...he has to "make mud" about 10 different times so who knows what our water bill will be like this month!

Then he plays with his trains...

And then it's back to turn the water on and "make more mud!"
